No ballpark, no hometown, 96 games on the road, living out of a bus and a string of hotels. They're barnstorming across America in independent pro baseball's first-chance, last-chance league, where one good week can earn a Major League contract and one bad one can end a career. Episode 1, "Making the Cut," introduces the team and the people who run it. Former big leaguers Dmitri Young and Ray King, who coach the roster like family. Amy Gutierrez, the Emmy-winning broadcaster turned co-general manager. And the players who left teaching jobs, insurance desks, and retail floors for a dream they can't put down. Unfortunately for some, spring training ends with tough decisions for the coaching staff. To set the opening-day roster, the Mobiles have to cut from 37 players to 25, and the men making that call are the ones who care most about who goes home. Some of these players have been told their whole lives to give it up. Some are one cut away from walking away for good. By the final practice the roster is set. Who makes it?
